Small Instrument, Huge Benefits
One-third the size and weight of most single-channel devices,
the MedSystem III® Infusion System takes on
huge tasks, yet takes up very little space. By significantly
reducing bedside clutter, the MedSystem III®
Multi-Channel Infusion System creates a more efficient clinical
environment. This innovative instrument provides:
- Accurate delivery for intravenous, intra-arterial, epidural,
and subcutaneous applications
- Delivery of a wide range of fluids from various containers
including syringes
- Secondary delivery of intermittent medications, fluid
challenges, or loading doses from each channel
Administration Sets
The MedSystem III® Infusion System administration
sets are available with SmartSite®
Needle-Free Valve Ports and Standard Injection Ports.
All MedSystem III® Infusion System administration
sets provide protection against inadvertent free-flow.
Versatile In All Clinical
Settings
With unmatched versatility, the MedSystem III®
Infusion System can travel with patients throughout their
hospital stay, meeting a wide range of infusion needs. Each
line can deliver a separate drug, which helps to eliminate
incompatibility and drug sequencing concerns.
Menu-selectable device types - including General Purpose,
Operating Room, Neonatal, and Controller Pressure - can be
specifically tailored to meet the clinical needs of the patient,
including:
- Rapid on-line titration for both macro/micro delivery
without interrupting flow
- Configurable air-in-line thresholds, rate and volume ranges,
occlusion alarm settings, and KVO rates
- Adjustable alarm volumes
Advanced Dose Rate Calculation
The Advanced Dose Rate Calculation feature of the MedSystem
III® Multi-Channel Infusion System establishes
a new standard for patient care. It simplifies the delivery
of complex drug regimens by converting dosage parameters to
volumetric rates. Each channel of the MedSystem III®
Infusion System simultaneously displays infusion information-drug
name, dose rate, and volumetric rate-at a glance. This innovative,
user-friendly feature provides:
- Single-page programming
- Comprehensive, selectable drug library
- Titration of drugs by the user in either dose or volumetric
rate
Advantages For Clinical Engineering
The MedSystem III® Infusion System is engineered
to be capable of continuous innovation through software upgrades
and custom configurations. ALARIS Medical Systems' exclusive
Field Maintenance Software (FMS) enables your Biomedical Department
to meet the challenging needs of your hospital.
Using the instrument's RS-232 data port and an IBM compatible
computer, the FMS advantage also enables you to communicate
with the instrument to:
- Streamline routine preventative maintenance and calibration
processes
- Troubleshoot by recovering instrument data logs
- Program a user message indicating when preventive maintenance
is due
- Communicate with remote monitoring systems
Please note: This product is available
